Global Warming and increasing desert

I want a permaculture experimental farm with organic hydroponic and aquaculture. Meanwhile, I think we might set up something like this for fall planting in our garden. The way we compost now, seems to attract rats. I think this would solve that problem. (Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)
 
I thought about a worm bin, but a few years ago bought a number of geobins

run garden trimmings through a shredder to really break stuff down into tiny pieces, and have made “hot” compost w/ worms, etc., finishing the process

the trick I found out to tiny pieces of materials, and fill the geobin which really kicks things off “hot”

the guy who runs the site is in san diego county,…he organized a permaculture convention here in town,… but they no longer happen,… just glad I was able to attend and pick up some pretty useful info
