I have fallen in love with the Gloria. As I am not yet ready to experience a full mass (I am in RCIA), the Gloria stuck with me.

Do you know of any online versions of the Gloria? Ours is a jubilant Gloria…anyway…

You might check out John Rutter’s Gloria or Anton Bruckner’s Gloria from Mass #3 in F Minor.

There are TONS of great big Glorias out there. Just about every composer big and small has written at least one. You are about to embark on a wonderful journey of discovering great Glorias!

I just love Vivaldi’s Gloria…it is more of a concert piece but it is really beautiful.
 
Sorry for high-jacking the thread with this comment but I want to share an episode regarding the Gloria.

A few years ago when my son attended public school, the school had this musical performance for all the kids in elementary classes. His group was to sing an multi-ethnic multi-lingual song and it was the typical mix of English, Spanish, French, Chinese, … etc. However at one point during the song I was in stupor. They sang " Laudámus te. Benedícimus te. Adorámus te. Glorificámus te. Grátias ágimus tibi propter magnam glóriam tuam" I almost fell down to my knees, I am sure that I was the only one that knew what was going on. At the end of that school year my son asked for permission to attend our parochial school.
 
I recommend the gloria from Palestrina’s, “Missae Papae Marcelli.”

My 3 yr old daughter loves the Gloria. At bedtime we sing a song and she was so bummed that we couldn’t sing the Gloria during Lent. It was highly anticipated when Easter came along. 🙂 Even now she gets a huge smile on her face when we sing it at mass. I’m sure she probably gets the same excitement that the angels get and we would too if we only really realized that we were in the Lord’s presence at mass.
 
The Gloria from Mozart’s “Coronation Mass” (Mass No. 15 in C major, KV 317) is my favorite. I was in London for Easter one year and this was the selection for the Gloria at the Easter Vigil at the church I attended. I think my jaw dropped when the first “Gloria!” came ringing out from the choir loft. Absolutely beautiful and quite powerful.
 
After the dryness of Lent, the first time we get to sing the Gloria, I can not stop myself from sobbing - especially with all the bells ringing and soooo many voices!!! It truly is a moving experience for me, every single time.

I remember becoming slightly depressed during Advent when the Gloria went away- I didn’t understand why until someone explained it to me. Needless to say, Christmas Eve Mass when it came back was AMAZING. 😃

Where are you from? Take a look here: ecclesiadei.org/masses.cfm and see if there are any traditional Masses in your area. With the motu proprio, they may very well be popping up in unexpected places, in addition to those listed at that link.

Within the context of the traditional Mass, you will experience the Gloria prayed more magnificently than you have to this point.
