So, no one has the glorified bodies yet, some think they receive them upon death.
I’ve never thought to wonder this until just the other day…
When, assuming we get to Heaven, get our “glorified bodies,” as they are called, wouldn’t it just be the appearance of our bodies as we once were? I can’t imagine we would have internal organs again, and all of that…would we? I don’t know if it’s specifically known, or just another one of those things. For some reason, I more picture that our glorified bodies will consist of merely the outward appearance, and we would be light and spirit-like inside.

I mean the disciples didn’t recognize Jesus’ glorified body so I don’t know if we’ll look the same either. And are there mirrors in heaven? I don’t know. In a sense, we are all soul, because that’s what gives us our essence. However, the soul requires all these physical parts to manifest itself. And we are finding out that it is indeed rather complex and intimate, considering all the “circuitry” in the brain needed to allow us to function and learn. We are indeed very physical beings as well.The soul is immortal. That means forever. I’ve always felt we’re more soul than body; that our true meant being is spiritual.
As I understand it, even though the soul is somehow separated after death to go be with God (or in purgatory or in Hell), this is only a temporary and incomplete state of affairs. We are supposed to be reunited with our resurrected and hopefully gloried (again I am not sure about the damned) bodies again here on EARTH. It will be a “remade” Earth- surely God will help correct all that we have not been able to by this time, considering the damaged we’ve done to our world- but it will definitely be EARTH.well, if thats true, whats the point of even having the bodies…I mean, our earthly bodies are essentially tools we use for life on earth, the afterlife will not be anything like our earthly life, so its only logical the glorified bodies must be much different, although Im not sure why we could not just go on in soul form in the afterlife?
It is very interesting to think about, I imagine the glorified bodies will have many abilities that our current bodies do not.This is an interesting subject, and we know virtually nothing about it.
So we can all speculate.
I have imagined that glorified bodies manifest themselves in the way the individual wants them to manifest themselves; as a baby, a child, an adult, an old person, and perhaps simultaneously. Most individuals were, at some point, all of these, and at every step some part of the formation of the soul and personality occurred.
Why simultaneously? Because those observing one of us also have glorified bodies and are not limited or constrained by time anymore. We will be “tapped into” the Mind of God, who sees us simultaneously in all of those stages because He is outside time Himself.
One wonders what happens to the constraints of the laws of physics then. Will we perhaps be able to pass through solid objects by so aligning our atoms (which are mostly just space) so they do not collide with any others? Will we perhaps be able to feel the heat inside a star just as it is, but without pain? Maybe it’s not so strange. We are told that we cannot know what anything was like before the Big Bang, because it changed all the physical laws. Is there a realm in which they no longer apply?
Will our senses be so glorified that we will be able to “see” angels in some manner notwithstanding that they are spirits and do not reflect light like material objects do? Will we “hear” those who sing before the throne of God? And what is that harmony? Is it the sum of all that exists in both the spiritual and material worlds, experessed in a manner that makes them immediately intelligible?
Most of all, how will it be to join the infinity of God? Infinity is without limit, we know. Will we, forever and ever, know more, love more, be loved more, see more? We do seem to want that, never being satisfied with what we know, how we love and are loved, what we understand. Perhaps we’re “built” for it.
It’s a fascinating subject, to be sure.

What Ive always wondered about is how the ‘glorified bodies’ of the souls in hell will appear when they are back on the earth, Im sure the bodies of those in heaven or purgatory, will appear very clean, even shimmering maybe, but few wonder about those who were sent to hell, I know its probably not accurate, but I always picture them like a dirty zombie, something you would see in the walking dead, will they try to attack the living people or the heavenly bodies then?
I do know that day, when all those bodies are back, walking the earth again, that will be quite the thing to see! I mean, just the sheer numbers…everyone in history that has EVER lived, will suddenly be back on the earth again…WOW, that would have to be close to trillions and trillions of people at one time?!

I was under the impression EVERYONE will come back, even those in hell, Gods ‘army’ will be on one side of Megido and Satans army (Im assuming all the people who are in hell) will be on the other side, Megido will be the final battle, God will win of course.Some of those people MIGHT be in hell. The bodies that we have now will be reunited with our souls on the Last Day. They will be real material bodies like we have now for we are human beings composed of a body and a soul. Adam and Eve had bodies like ours and they would have never suffered the death of the body if they had not sinned. Jesus rose with the same body he died in for he said to the apostles after his resurrection “see that a spirit does not have flesh and bones that you see that I have.” Our glorified bodies will take on incorruptibility and immortality though.I’ve never thought to wonder this until just the other day…
