It’s ussually used connected with some doctirne or group and is used to creat shock. but, I don’t know anything about them save that they are apperiantly heretics. Could someone tell me who they are, what they beleive and why they are heretics? Thanks and God bless.

I had a Gnostic teacher in College. It was a Bible and History or Bible and Literature class, and he had us reading the Gospel of Thomas and the Gospel According to Mary. There are a lot of aspects to Gnostics. Even though Wikipedia always needs to be scrutinized, I think it is a safe place to read about Gnostics.
