I have been thinking about the idea of God and the problem of evil, and our theories to justify the existence of God, as well. We say that evil is what is lacking in what is good in nature, and God did not create evil… But some people are psychopathic, who believe evil is natural, as it may be for them. Is God behind this?

Evil things are natural, however the cause is supernatural. Otherwise, how come we cannot curb evil??

If evil is natural, how come we haven’t created a utopia for everyone by now,as we have the technological and scientific means? Unless of course you concede that evil is a supernatural problem, that appears natural on the surface.

No, Our LORD is not behind this.

St. Augustine said that as rational human beings, gifted with inviolalbe free will, we are free to choose evil as well as good. So, its mea culpa for humanity, no smear and excuse campaigns here, well of course satan tempting us, but we can only take the blame to him so far…

. Is God behind this?
You can say that.

But it for the individuals to find there peace and chose whom they shall serve.

But if evil is of God it can only be for the long term good.
Also many through evil acts may realize there is a God. which includs myself though fortunatly the evil brought no physical harm.

Job 2:10, “Shall we receive good from God, and shall we not receive evil?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.”
Isaiah 45:7, “I form light and create darkness, I make well-being and create calamity, I am the LORD, who does all these things.”

are psychopaths really incapable of knowing the deference from right and wrong? and the answer is most def. NO

of course these individuals know the difference between right and wrong but rather they just have no remorse or empathy for the things that they do… huge difference! and when you start looking at your question keeping that in mind I feel that your question really isn’t a problem. (honestly i would argue that it isn’t even a problem if the individuals didn’t know right from wrong naturally)

Your question is about suffering and proving that God dosen’t exist because if he really existed he would wipe it out because he is all good and all powerful. This is a tenat of atheism.
I am not saying you hold this, but the question you presented has this in it.

However we need to see both sides of the coin to understand suffering, or good news and bad news.

The bad news is that living in this broken world we are subject to suffering. And there are some stories that are really tear jerkers expecially if innocent children are involved.
And we have no answers for why some and not others. But we are not given all the answers to life in many areas of it. We don’t know all the answers to this suffering, but we also have not been told by divine revelation many other things as well.

The good news is that Jesus promised that this broken world would be fixed and that he would see to it that there is no more suffering but only happiness. That suffering can do good if we handle it the way Jesus handled suffering, to offer it to the Father so that others will be saved from eternal suffering. This indeed makes it worthwhile and gives it the best possible meaning, drawing good from evil. But this requires that we put our absolute trust in Jesus.

Atheism has no answers to evil suffering, so that suffering is all for nothing, and an ignominy. Atheism, in so far as it has no answer, is a hard system to believe in, and causes more pain because it has no answers or meaning to help people cope with it. The innocent children who suffer have a worse fate, since they not only suffered terrible, but the right away they are extinguished like a burnt match. So all hope and any goodnes is removed.

Atheism doesn’t believe certain teachings of christianty but uses those very teachings to argue against the existence of God and the sanity of the christianity faith. That is itself a contradiction. How can one argue from a principle it denies.

Jesus came on Christmas to all men to give them light to live their lives in such a way that all they experience may be used to help themselves and to give glory to God. Atheism denies Jesus as God, or trusting in the words of Jesus Christ our saviour, who is truth itself. Who used the suffering on the cross to draw us all to himself.

Just a thought.
