Dunno if my question makes sense. But did God start revealing Himself with Jews? and why did He prefer them over others?thank you all.

It was part of God’s plan that Jesus would have an ordinary human upbringing. This implies a language, a people, a country, and so forth.

So some people had to be chosen. We don’t know God’s motive for choosing the Jews specifically, though the Bible implies that it was because Abraham’s virtuous conduct won him favour. The geographical location of Palestine at the intersection of three continents may have played a part. Jericho is also the oldest known city in the world still inhabited, that might have been another factor.

mmm this clarifies a bit. Thank you 🙂

God revealed himself to Man. The men who followed his commandments became known as the Jews.

indeed!! it turned to be easier than i thought.

But why do you think God waited all that time since human beings existed long time ago? i remember a priest telling me that what Moses taught were known before Moses or something of the like…sorry my historical info is quite bad:o

What time? God was there when man was formed.

Yes, God was talking to Man since man came in to being so yes man knew much of God’s instruction before Moses went to met God

We don’t know, in biological terms, what separates us from the chimpanzees. There is obviously some very important behavioural feature which gives us language and the ability to engage in abstract thought, which all other animals lack.
A chimpanzee is not capable of sinning, whilst a man is. It is difficult to speculate about exactly when men acquired the capacity to sin. It may have been much more recently than intutition would suggest.

I do not know about you, but I sure know. Try looking in the mirror some time!

Yes, God created them chimps and us humans.

Immediately after his creation by God. No speculation needed.

No, intuition guided my modernist/atheistic theories gets you no where.
