I am actually serious.

May God enlighten them and open their hearts, mind and eyes.

Father, may they be open to your unconditional love.
May we, with Your strength and peace, pray for them, praying past our own weaknesses, and with Your unconditional love.
In Your most precious Son’s Name,

Lord, grant those with the tendency of uncharity and lack of due consideration for other persons many graces, that they might become profound examples of the virtue of temperance, piety, humility, faith, hope, love, and joy. Redirect the warmth of your divine light through these souls. Orient their lives toward your Sacred Heart with the help of guiding angels. See that they be refreshed with all the angels and saints in the eternal fountain some day. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

Would the people who write the “New Secrets Revealed about the Bible” playing on the History Channel fit into this category? Doesn’t it seem they are purposely twisting the Bible? Doesn’t that make them mean???

I know that when I get frustrated with people, I struggle to control my anger towards them… It’s definitely something I personally need to work on…

Include in those prayers neighbors who don’t like dogs and call the police all the time.

Cheezey, there are actually people who want to be mean. Even if they are shown the error of their ways, they will not change. We can pray for them to be nice–but we have to pray for them to *want *to be nice. Pray for them to want to follow the ways of Christ. Other than that, we have to turn the other cheek. Pretty tough being subject to their behavior, isn’t it? I join you in praying for them. God bless, keeping you in prayer.
 
What tipped me toward creating this thread was someone who so meanly asked me several times in just a couple days, what I ‘d be doing for Thanksgiving;** knowing** I have no family, no friends, no kitchen, no room to do **anything **about Thanksgiving, except eat a yogurt for that days’ meal and a doughnut for its dessert. It was a miserable, agonizing, lonely, and tempting day for me and that mean person did NOT help. It was all I could do to keep from telling her to just shut up and stop asking. And I succeeded, thank God.
And she has already started in on Christmas. I have not magically grown a family or a kitchen, or the type of friend who would help me to feel like I matter.

Mean.

God, grant me strength.
 
Yes, they do need prayers. Whatever the reason is for their being the way they are; they are still children of God. They need his love and mercy as much or even more than others. God bless them and those they may have hurt. Praying for them and those they have hurt.
