God desires all men to come to the Truth yet Jesus is the way?

LDS missionaries spoke of these verses. I can’t recall them.

Where in Scripture does it say God desires all men to come to a knowledge of the truth?

If it says that, how does that reconcile with no one comes to the Father but through Jesus?

Cause, as the missionaries stated, untold numbers of folks have never heard of Jesus, up until the last 100 years. It seems there must be a way for them if there is such a verse. I know LDS has a way.

1 Timothy 2:3-4 This is good, and it is acceptable in the sight of **God our Savior, who desires all men **to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Jesus is of course, the Truth - and no one comes to the Father except through Jesus. However, that does not mean that those who come to the Father will recognize/know in advance (prior to their actual dying and experiencing eternal salvation) that it was Jesus who was the means of their salvation.

Not to mention those who never heard the Gospel preached in third world countries and whom the LDS are providing a way for those millions and millions to be saved based on Timothy.

Their , the LDS theology, seems more complete in reconciling the clear statements of Scripture with the potential for universal salvation - based on Tim 2: 3 - 4.

No. Their substitutionary baptism does nothing to convey intellectual knowledge to the deceased person about the truth/Truth, or to effect the infusion of the supernatural life of God (sanctifying grace) into the souls of those previously deceased souls.

I notice Rien that you had a thread back in December that asked the same question - wanting to know the Scripture verse. And you were given a reference to the 1 Tim passage, which you said was the one you were looking for.
You must be even older than me - if your memory is so bad you’ve forgotten it in just a couple months.
Am I correct in assuming you have another purpose (other than just verse identification) for posting the same thread topic again?
