Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Yesterday I quoted paragraph #52 from “True Devotion”, and today I am posting the next two paragraphs below. I hope you will read and ponder them in the light of the current crisis in the Catholic Church. We are either fighting against evil in this world or we have become so used to it, we do not even “see” or “hear” lies satan continues to use to deceive us as he deceived Eve.

1. What Lucifer lost by pride Mary won by humility. What Eve ruined and lost by disobedience Mary saved by obedience. By obeying the serpent, Eve ruined her children as well as herself and delivered them up to him. Mary by her perfect fidelity to God saved her children with herself and consecrated them to his divine majesty.
2. God has established not just one enmity but “enmities”, and not only between Mary and Satan but between her race and his race. That is, God has put enmities, antipathies and hatreds between the true children and servants of the Blessed Virgin and the children and slaves of the devil. They have no love and no sympathy for each other. The children of Belial, the slaves of Satan, the friends of the world, - for they are all one and the same - have always persecuted and will persecute more than ever in the future those who belong to the Blessed Virgin, just as Cain of old persecuted his brother Abel, and Esau his brother Jacob. These are the types of the wicked and of the just. But the humble Mary will always triumph over Satan, the proud one, and so great will be her victory that she will crush his head, the very seat of his pride. She will unmask his serpent’s cunning and expose his wicked plots. She will scatter to the winds his devilish plans and to the end of time will keep her faithful servants safe from his cruel claws.

But Mary’s power over the evil spirits will especially shine forth in the latter times, when Satan will lie in wait for her heel, that is, for her humble servants and her poor children whom she will rouse to fight against him. In the eyes of the world they will be little and poor and, like the heel, lowly in the eyes of all, down-trodden and crushed as is the heel by the other parts of the body. But in compensation for this they will be rich in God’s graces, which will be abundantly bestowed on them by Mary. They will be great and exalted before God in holiness. They will be superior to all creatures by their great zeal and so strongly will they be supported by divine assistance that, in union with Mary, they will crush the head of Satan with their heel, that is, their humility, and bring victory to Jesus Christ.

Sound like the sort of ‘in group/out group’ claims that one might expect in a group dynamic situation.

‘We are Children of Good and are blessed and loved by Him. They are children of Satan and are cursed of God and despised by Him’

Dear TechieGuy,

Sorry that you heard or read into the words of St. Louis de Montfort words of your own. I was saddened to see you use the expression “Feh…” – that is an expression of disapproval, displeasure or disgust.

Do you not recognize the difference between light and darkness? right and wrong? evil and good? truth and lies?

The words of St. Louis de Montfort are words that need to be read within the context of his entire treatise. I hope you will read the entire online version of “True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin” HERE

Your profile does not include whether you are Catholic or not but I hope you believe in God and are willing to open your heart to hear His Truth.

Thanks, O Servant of God, for the insight into the
Struggle of the End Times. I personally am in a
WORK here in Charlottetown, Canada to bring
about a Church for the Poor in answer to a
vision given to me by our Lord. Mary will def-
initely play a key role in this battle!

Dear Glam,

Sorry to be so late getting back to respond. Thanks for the link to Our Lady of All Nations. I had read a little about this apparition sometime ago but was grateful to read more. Do you have a good Spiritual Director to help you in your work?

Some years ago I made a pilgrimage to Madonna House in Combermere Ontario. Perhaps you are familiar with that Apostolate. I was impressed by the writings of the Founders, Catherine and Eddie Doherty, and their life stories. The simplicity and prayerfulness of the people involved with the Apostolate, lay persons and priests, was beautiful to me. I was privileged to visit at a time when the founders were still alive and living there at Madonna House.

I remember to this day, asking Servant of God Catherine Doherty, to explain “Evangelical Poverty”. I can still see her and hear her answer: "What? You want to learn poverty like a-b-c in a book? Only God can teach you poverty!" I’ve never forgotten her words. By God’s Grace, I continue to ponder them and strive to live that poverty in everything I learn from Him and our dear Mother Mary.

Mary needs to be in our lives, for if we believe in the Gospel, we take seriously Jesus’ words from the Cross: “Behold your Mother” and we obey Him as John did by taking Mary into our homes and into our lives.

May the Lord continue to guide us all by the power of His Holy Spirit into ALL Truth, as Jesus promised. (cf Jn 16 :13)
