God is Not Bound by the Sacraments

Yes, it is true He has left us the Holy Apostolic Church Universal, through the death and resurrection of Our Lord Jesus…but He is not Bound by the sacraments.

Is a truly repentant sinner, forgiven by God when He seeks direct forgiveness?

Only through confession??? let me rephrase: Only after confession???
 
A non-Catholic may make a perfect act of contrition, but when they receive knowledge they must go to confession.

If you make the assumption that you are forgiven, what happens when you die and you weren’t. The sacrament prevents those kinds of mistakes in judgement.

Exactly. Baptism by desire for non-Christians and acts of perfect contrition for non-Catholics are available to forgive the mortal sins of those formally outside the Church, however we risk the sin of presumption by not following the Church.

Here’s the thing, the Sacraments were given visible signs so we know we have received God’s graces. Yes it is true we can be forgiven of our sins outside of the Sacraments. But we, from our perception, do not know if we did receive forgiveness or not. God attached the promise of certainty with the Sacraments. Its better to avail of it in that manner if you can.
