God is Rejoicing...You've come home

Hope this will help others like me who have just recently come back to Church and a relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Today marks my second month back to church. Unlike some converts that have shown an immediate transformation in their faith and life, my walk has been much more gradual. So I have been feeling at times that I have not been holding up my end…not meeting expectations or bearing my cross per se.

I went to my to second confession since returning and laid that down to Our Lord…This is the response I received from my pastor.

Frank…you need to remind yourself everyday that Our Father is REJOICING IN HEAVEN…that you have returned home. Know that he is a MERCIFUL FATHER. He will bring you along on his timeline…not yours. So take comfort in that.

The perfect message for me today! Felt moved to share this with my fellow ‘reverts’ who have just come home and may be struggling with your own walk.

BLESSED BE OUR MOST MERCIFUL FATHER! AMEN!

It’s wonderful not to beat ourselves up about our faults, and it’s essential to rely on God’s grace, since we can do nothing of our own accord.

Having said that, magnanimity is a wonderful subvirtue of fortitude: and it is basically the good habit of wanting to seek excellence, especially in great things.

We should all strive to be Saints, and we should all pray that God will develop magnanimity and perseverance in our lives.
