Not exactly a pleasure, not sensuous, but somehow meeting needs that nothing else can.

I am adding up the evidence, this is what I have come up with=

LOVE is the ultimate pleasure.
This is why the majority of the thread would rather be with there mate then with delicious food. (I am not even a little fat by the way)

Now we all know that lots of people every year have sex outside there marriage. why would
they risk losing sex with the one they love? That makes no sence if sex was available and better with there mate.

It is a fact that married people get caught up in porn, why would someone look at a picture of something and have a desire for something LESS then what they had? That’s not logical if sex with your mate is as good as these posts sound.

A female friend of mine told me that some people are not compatible phisicaly. But because they don’t have sex until after marriage, they don’t know until after the honeymoon that it wasn’t
all that great. And yet they love there mate.

Even king david in the bible had sex outside his marriage, and he had many many many wives. So why then did he have a man murderd to take his wife…IF sex with his own wives was so good?

I’m not saying that it is right what people do with porn or what King David did but I’m going to use your analogy with food.

If pizza was the ultimate pleasure, why would you go and eat cheesecake or chocolate or a steak? People like variety in food and unfortunately some people like variety in sex. They become addicted to it and that is why there will be more people who perish in the eternal fires through sins of the flesh than any other sin.

Affairs rarely have anything to do with physical sex…or lacking it in a marriage. It has more to do with the person who is having the affair–seeking something that they don’t have within themselves…most likely a strong relationship with God. Can’t serve two masters, you know? So, a person really can’t be at peace with themselves if they are cheating on his/her spouse.
Most people who cheat are looking to fill a God-shaped hole, that only He can fill. Sex is just the byproduct of affairs, it’s not the main event. I have known many who have had affairs, and this is typically what they realize …sometimes, when their marriages have ended over the affair. If they put the energy, and devotion into the marriage that they put into the affairs, they also wouldn’t have probably looked elsewhere. Marriage takes work…and while a good sex life shouldn’t take ‘work,’ when kids come along, a lot of other things start to take priority over a couple and their intimate life. I speak from experience on that, but have since learned to put intimate time with my hubby at the top of my priority lists now!

Why is it that we hear of people who are married, not having sex in months?

If it was better then the great taste of sandwich, it would be ilogical for anyone to stop.

Food is better then sex if your not having sex.

Many marriages end because one
or the other has sex with someone
who is not there mate, why would that happen???
there are many reasons, but aparently one or the other is not satisfied.

Now if that happens with say a nice plate of spagetti, you can just switch to chicken wings…no harm to anyone.

Marriage are our Faith are both all about RELATIONSHIP!

If your married and your not having sex, well, your RIGHT, it is illogical! Sex is like marriage cement!

Some are blessed with a wonderful personal relationship with Jesus, some are not.

The same with marriage, some folks (my bride of 41 years and I, for example) have a solid, and USUALLY wonderful personal relationship, and thus a GREAT marriage.

Its all about relationships

So how does one “get” a GREAT relationship:doh2:

One (actually both) have to desire it strongly, and pay the price. It takes tenacity humility Charity to an extremeunderstandingpatient endurence,****and walking close with God!

To develope a GREAT personal relationship with God, requires much of the same.

Have you ever considered that the Bible shows us the God desires a close persoanl relationship with US?

From calling Adam in the garden: 'where are you?" to Noah and family being saved from the Flood, to Abram being chosen to be the “father” of His nation, to Moses, to the Prophets He chose, to Kings David and Solomon, to the twelve Apostles, to becomming a bit “less than His Angels” to drying on the Crosss for our Redemption, to the GREATEST abasement, GREATEST prove of God’s Love for us, to become, literally “The Bread of Life!” All the Spiritual nourishment that any of us will ever need to have GREAT
Relationships with God, and with our Spouces.

It wasn’t easy for God, so why should it be easy for us:hypno:

Indeed a personal relationship with Christ is better then sex.
Otherwise the bible would not encourage singlness for the purpose of focusing on Christ.

The ultimate pleasure is in being with God. Visit Him often in the Tabernacle.

Pleasure is found in many things and they are gifts from God.

If I go a day without food, I crave food. I miss just about everything so food is a great pleasure.

If I go a day with tea or a warm drink, I crave a hot drink.

I don’t feel the same way about sex.

I am not sure God doesn’t want us to enjoy food, activity and many other things and gluttony is a misuse in consuming food,etc.
