God of Freedom?

I have heard several protestant services where they pray to the ‘God of Freedom’.
Is this an acceptable title in the Orthodox or RC Church?

I know the Romans had a goddess of Freedom (Libertas) but I have never read this title in OT or heard it until recently. Sounds quite pagan to me.
Any thoughts welcome.

Depends on what it means by “freedom”. In what context?
Religious freedom? Human freedom? National? Other kinds of freedom?
God always respects our freedom even when we abuse it and make bad choices.

Freedom=God
God=Freedom

You only are Free in God.
Without God, you have no freedom: you have slavery. Slavery to your thoughts, feelings, instincts, moods.
You must empty yourself from yourself.
Then, there is space for God.
That’s is all God needs: He comes into you makes your Mind His Home.
Then, you are Free.

It’s probably a reference to 2 Corinthians 3, since you know how much the love Paul.
