God Qualifies those He calls!

I am entering the Diaconate this fall and find great comfort in axiom attributed to Saint Paul: "God doesn’t call the qualified, he qualifies those he calls.” Can someone help me find in Scripture where Paul discusses this?

I don’t know if there is an actual verse, but it is a lesson clearly stated in Scripture (e.g. the calling of Moses, the equipping of the Apostles).
