I like how Pope Francis helps us see Jesus through Mary’s eyes in this too. That is a quite remarkable connection. And since Mary is the Mother of the church, it puts the church in her same position today.
This certainly ties in with Pope Francis year of mercy teachings. This reaching out to sinners is a great love and mercy for us all and without it we would all be lost.
