I do sympathise with the OP’s concerns but the whole essence is that our children are an optimistic statement of hope and our faith in God.
 
The future belongs to those who show up. If only degenerates breed, that is what the future will look like. So instead of lamenting the horrible state of the world (which has always been fallen), perhaps you should think about having a few more. My son is going to need a well brought up, Catholic girl to marry in 20 years.
