I would second what Teresa said. The way I have found that God leads me to my vocation (and I think it a continually evolving thing) is that when I’m faced with a hard decision or choice, to pray about, give it much thought, talk it through with trusted friends and advisors, and as they say “go with your gut instinct” – make a decision and start moving down that pathway. If it is the right decision and where God is leading you, you will feel peace, if it is not you will constantly be questioning your decision. This at least has been my experience and I believe has lead me through important decisions in my career and personal life.
