God would never do that

God would sure want people to believe in Him. He told me He wants to save every single soul. I could tell you how God told me to convert my friend’s(now godson’s) soul.

A few months ago, my frd got late stage cancer, then one day I am in relax mode in shower, I suddenly had idea in mind asked me to ask my friend weather he wanna get baptised (he was atheist and never mentioned God to me). Then later I asked that cancer frd if he wanted baptism, after 2 days he phoned me telling me he walked in garden and suddenly had a realisation that God really exists, and wanted baptism. I helped him asked my priest friend but he said we must find priest in his local area. I also told my cancer frd to find in hospital but without success. Then my friend did not mention baptism again. One day I went to church and prayed and talked with god as usual about other things, God suddenly asked me “go to find the priest as soon as possible to get him baptised.” I responded him “I have not tried before, and how should I do?” God said “Do not worry, just do what you can and I will do the rest.” I felt urgent that God asked me to (so I had a sense that time is not long). Then at night when I prayed and thought about other things again, He told me “You should put my salvation plan at first priority”, I said “Sorry, okay, tomorrow I will call the priest, I’m sorry” The next day I called the priest office, after 2-3 times could finally find the priest, and after I told him and they talked on phone, the priest visited him the next day, and made the baptism day after a week. Everything went so smoothly. And I am his godmother on his baptism, after his baptism his situation got much worse, after a few days some frds and I visited him again (and I never knew that day was his last day), after we left, on that night my friend passed away. God took his soul in his Perfect time (in a state of grace - all sins are cleaned after baptism, and baptism is a must for getting to heaven) That is God’s plan! And everything went as just God told me!

I believe what you said. So you should try your best to do what God told you to do. God will do the rest part after you started the first step. If this priest does not believe what you said, you can find another priest until you found one, or convince your friend.

We are called to be fishers of men, not hunters.

Christ told us how to win souls “let your light so shine before men that they see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven”.

Catholic missionary work does not look like most non-Catholic missionary work. When a Catholic missionary comes to a new area they build a medical clinic or a school or an orphanage, they feed people and help meet their physical needs. Those good works allow the Holy Spirit to stir the hearts of the people to know Christ.

Zeal can be dangerous, step back and remember conversion is the job of the Holy Spirit. We are in marketing for Christ’s kingdom!

What a great story! I’m glad you followed what God told you even though some people might have told you to “mind your own business.” I see how God reminded you continually even as you went about your own business that he had other business for you to attend to. I see that in my own life now as well.

In the last two weeks my job has scheduled me for work in areas very close by my friend’s house and business (mind you I live two hours away). I wonder if I should stop by his house and business when I am in the area. I just don’t know. Unlike your friend, my friend has never given me any indication that God is trying to reach him. I will pray about it and see what happens.

One thing I do know, when God wants you to do something, you WILL do it. You can do it the easy way with him, or you can try to evade it and end up doing it the hard way in the future. At least, that has always been my experience.

For my frd’s case, God (holy spirit) is working on 3 persons(ways), 1 is me, 2 is my frd (bcoz God tried to reach him to made him realise God does exist although some seeds were already planted inside him many years ago), 3 is the priest, he chose to visit my frd. Those are not coincidence, all is God’s plan.
Maybe my frd’s case is different from yours because time is a matter for my frd, so God urged me to do. And I just did my part.

Usually, if the case involved someone’s free will, it may take some time, because God gave everyone free will, and that is why baptism is so important as Baptism involves one’s own willingness to accept and love God.

I think God (Holy Spirit) is working on your friend at the same time, and your friend still have time, so maybe you can only do your part, and be patient wait for your frd to return to God one day.

You can also pray for your frd, or asked God what else you can do and listened to God or see any more idea come up. God bless.

We all need to know that God wants to save every single soul, and that’s why God sent Jesus to this sinful world. We all are sinners, and baptism is a must to get to heaven to be with God forever, only through baptism by Holy Spirit we will have new life.

Mark 16:15 — He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”

I think it’s important not to take things personally when “bringing” someone to God. Something I think we should understand is that God is the one that will convert hearts, and our sole role is pray for them and offer them Jesus, to very simply plant the seed.

If what you said about your friend’s life spiralling down, I think the best way to evangelize is to simply be there for him. Maybe telling him upfront about what God had said might be obviously repelling for him, because he hasn’t had this experience of God. A bit of a shock.

Best way to look at it, if you can’t bring the person to Jesus, then you allow Jesus to have His way in him. The Lord works well with your faith.

God bless!

I’ve left it to God. He is the sort of person who will need to crash and burn before ever reaching out for help from anyone and even after his destruction he will wallow in his miserableness. It’s sad really. God showed me what could have been in my friend’s life if he had only believed. Now it will be the complete opposite. I really do feel that my friend is demon-obsessed if not possessed. A very strong demon. I see it in my interactions with him.

But what can I do? I know people say plant the seed and leave. But I still feel that God wants me to do something. In fact I know he does. It’s that nagging feeling that doesn’t leave you. Oh well, I probably should just run away and forget it.
