With my due respect, would you please explain your reply , and why
are you sure about that. Because everyone of us has an angel in heaven
that cares about us. . But , till the end of time many more are gonna be
coming to this life, though does their angels exist before them? I think
it is confusing for me to understand.
Peace and Good.

I believe 1Ke is correct because the original question presupposes that there are a fixed number of angels now (7/23/2013) and more will be needed in the future. In this scenario, it would appear that God would need more angels. God, however, is out of time and being all knowing, knew exactly how many angels would be needed when he created the first and the last.

Who says an angel can’t be assigned to more than one person?

I also don’t believe it is dogma that everyone has an angel. I think that is speculation.

CCC 336 From infancy to death human life is surrounded by their watchful care and intercession.202 "Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading him to life."203 Already here on earth the Christian life shares by faith in the blessed company of angels and men united in God.

All the angels, having but one appellation, have likewise among themselves the same nature, even though some of them are set over nations, while others of them are guardians to each one of the faithful.

I get that, but does that necessarily mean there is one per person?

Or could a single angel handle lets say 100 people?

I guess I meant its speculative of how it works. 1:1, 4:1, 1,000:1

CCC 336… "Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading him to life."203…

Can an angel be in several places at the same time? or is it as the CCC says “Beside each believer stands an angel…”

It may not be so clear cut…

newadvent.org/cathen/07049c.htm

“That every individual soul has a guardian angel has never been defined by the Church, and is, consequently, not an article of faith; but it is the “mind of the Church”, as St. Jerome expressed it: “how great the dignity of the soul, since each one has from his birth an angel commissioned to guard it.” (Comm. in Matt., xviii, lib. II).”

newadvent.org/summa/1052.htm

“Objection 1. It would seem that an angel can be in several places at once. For an angel is not less endowed with power than the soul. But the soul is in several places at once, for it is entirely in every part of the body, as Augustine says (De Trin. vi). Therefore an angel can be in several places at once.”

On the contrary, Damascene says (De Fide Orth. ii) that “while the angels are in heaven, they are not on earth.”

I answer that, An angel’s power and nature are finite, whereas the Divine power and essence, which is the universal cause of all things, is infinite: consequently God through His power touches all things, and is not merely present in some places, but is everywhere. Now since the angel’s power is finite, it does not extend to all things, but to one determined thing. For whatever is compared with one power must be compared therewith as one determined thing. Consequently since all being is compared as one thing to God’s universal power, so is one particular being compared as one with the angelic power. Hence, since the angel is in a place by the application of his power to the place, it follows that he is not everywhere, nor in several places, but in only one place.

JM3:
I agree that they can only be one place at a time, I was simply pointing out that this has been heavily debatefd …but since they are both outside and in the world I don’t see how they cannot move easily to where they are needed.

In reading more into this it made me think of how we always say " the devil is tempting us" or similar phrases. But since he is an angel he cannot be affecting us all, more likely his agents.

I don’t have a problem with the idea if an individual guardian angel in a 1:1 ratio, I am just not positive it works that way. I think God could potentially work it differently. Sending angels to us when we need them.

I dunno, I don’t dwell on that too much.

This thread seems to have devolved into a discussion about guardian angels, which is really not on-topic to the OP’s question:
Has God created all the angels that will ever be?
The correct Catholic answer to the OP’s question is, “we don’t know.” There is no reason why God could not create additional angels at any time. But, under both Jewish and Catholic theological understanding, any “new” angels (should there be any such thing) cannot be exposed to the Beatific Vision (perfect knowledge of the full and true nature of God) until they have made a freewill decision to accept the glory of God or glorify themselves (the sin of pride).

Has God created all the angels that will ever be?
It is my understanding that there are actually billions and billions of angels…probably more than the number of humans who have or ever will live. So, making more of them is not necessary.

Additionally, once we are in heaven (or hell), we no longer need a guardian angel, so they can be re-assigned.

Your logic is very convenient for me And reply to my query. Yes it describes the Truth about God in his creation and as he revealed himself to prophets as The Beginning and End though Knowing everything. Whether an angel is giving more than one person to guard
or only one it can’t be confirmed and It is up to God. Just my opinion.
Peace and Good.
