God knows all. God gave humans free will to choose doing right or wrong. Does God know who will be with Him in heaven, does He know what you are going to do next? If God knows everything then He should know where you will end up at the end. So where does our free will come in, if He already knows your actions before you do it?

How can I explain this in simple terms to someone so as to not confuse them? Thank you.

I would suggest;

What God knows has nothing at all to do with your obligation to try. God designed you to TRY to do what you THINK/feel is good. The thought that He might already know what you are going to do changes what exactly? He still designed you to TRY. Are you going to NOT try just because you THINK that He already knows something?

If a true prophet said that he knows the outcome of the next football game, but didn’t announce the winner, should all of the players just go home?

Let’s say a football game was played last night. You turn on the news and see the final score, so now you know who won the game.

Does that knowledge change anything about how the game was played?

God does know how everything will turn out, but He did not make it turn out that way, hence our free will. Knowing the way something ends does not mean you controlled it to happen that way.

Divine foreknowledge is not causative, that is, it does not cause anything to occur.For example, if I somehow knew that the Detroit Lions (?!) will win the Superbowl next month, my foreknowledge of that event would not in any way cause that event to occur. Likewise with the foreknowledge of God.
