God's Love

As a lifetime Christian and aspiring Catholic, I fully understand that God loves us all equally and unconditionally. But… why? What’s to love about us? The majority of us don’t even acknowledge his existence, and even the tiniest venial sin causes him distress more than we are capable of imagining. Now take the sins of the entire world, over 6 billion people, each individually sinning day to day, constantly, without stop. We are incurably evil, just as Satan and all of his fallen angels are. What makes us so valuable to him that he would send his own son down to die so we could have a chance of salvation? What makes us so valuable to him that he’s willing to put up with all the sorrow we cause him? We are downright worthless and insignificant compared to him… why does he care so much about us?

(This is not a rant, but rather me seeking answers to why God’s love is so unconditional.)

Interesting question.

I can only say it is because we are His Creation and His Children. God is Love Pure and simple. He Loves that which He has made, just a s a parent Loves their child even when the child is disobedient - even repeatedly disobedient.

I am thankful that He does Love us this much for if He did not, He might will us out of existance.

I do believe we have no idea how much LOVE God really has for us! Why we don’t take that love and cherish it with all of our heart and soul, I don’t know … all I do know is “GOD IS SO GOOD!”

Well, even the psalmist was wondering why:

*When I look at thy heavens, the work of thy fingers,
the moon and the stars which thou hast established;
what is man that thou art mindful of him,
and the son of man that thou dost care for him?

Yet thou hast made him little less than God,

And it’s often said that God loves us into existence, i.e., His love is the reason for our existence.

As per Indian heritage and science, AYURVEDA is an Upaveda or annexure to the four main vedas (knowledge systems). The famous treaties of Ayurveda are Charaka Samhita by Sage Charaka, which details the prevention and treatment of disease, and Sushruta Samhita of Sage Sushruta, which deals with Ayurvedic surgical procedures. In the Ayurvedic system, the prevention of all types of disease has a prominent place in treatment, including restructuring a patient’s lifestyle to align with the course of nature and the four seasons to guarantee complete wellness.

Ayurveda is considered to be a form of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) within the western world, where several of its methods, such as the use of herbs, massage, and Yoga as exercise or alternative medicine, are applied on their own as a form of CAM treatment.[6] However, such alternative therapy approaches are not unique to Ayurveda because they are also available under the systems of Unani medicine, Greek medicine and Islamic medicine.

God doesn’t love us for who we are, but because He is Love, because that is His nature. So no matter how much we sin, He still won’t stop loving us.
