There is a very good thread on the sheep titled ‘Psalm 23’I honestly mean this statement, I need you to forgive such fundamental questions. The questions are basic and I want to hear different ideas. I want to thank you in advance for you helpful ideas. The questions are grappling with the same basic fundamentals as mountain and God’s home.
Jesus is the Good Shepherd.
Jesus tell St. Peter to feed His sheep.
In the last chapter of St. John we have the apostles fishing. Then we read that St. Peter should feed Jesus’ sheep.
We immediately know that sheep are Christians or people.
What were the fish?
Are the fish the kind that swim in water?
Are the fish the kind that are being caught for Christ?
Also, in St. Matthew chapter 8: 28-34, there was a herd of swine.
Is the herd of swine like Jesus’ sheep, that is, are the swine people that do not believe in God? Sheep are people that believe in God. What are the swine? Are they the farm animals? Are they people that do not believe in God?
Again, I want to thank you for your kind help.
The shepherd kept the goats and the sheep together to graze but at night for rest he seperated them and from what I read from the wiki science goats and sheep do not breed together they are a different species. I thought this was super interesting and it has tried to be proven wrong but now with DNA they can tell that they don’t :ehh: Isn’t this interesting. Some say the goats are those who don’t really believe in Jesus or have a faith in the trinity, I’m just guessing.
The fish are a another story that I haven’t pondered yet but have thought about would be good for another thread.
Good luck in your pondering! God Bless! Dessert
