I do not mind sharing because I am not the only one who gets caught up with all that is going on, both good and bad. We put effort into good projects and we do our best when there are problems in our families. Yet, sometimes it seems we do things out of habit. Or we are active in the Church because we expect ourselves to do so. We get caught up with "doing " ā which is good; however, we forget about being still in the presence of God.
Four years ago, I attended the 49th International Eucharistic Congress in Quebec. Back then, I decided to attend the 50th International Congress in Dublin, God willing and the creek donāt rise. This amazing event is held every four years in different cities around the world. iec2012.ie/
So much has changed for me in the last four years, both good and bad, that lately I have been wondering if I should go to Dublin which is a tad farther than Quebec. Sometimes, it crosses my mind that I am too old to really do great things for God. Even older people can have doubts about their faith. The short story is that with this thread, I, too, am wondering about my own personal relationship with God, not necessarily openly but there nonetheless. What is it that I should be ādoingā crosses my mind.
This morning, the realization was that I am in love with God. In love even when I donāt feel like it. Considering how cranky (feminine of snarky) I can be on CAF, you already know that I have a reserved seat in the back row of Purgatory.
After all these years, that first childhood love of God is front and center. Probably, that innocent love came back because I read over and over that God calls each of us to share in His life through knowledge and love. (CCC 355 and following). I use that concept when I post about human origin and human nature.
As we all know, ābeing in loveā isā¦ Can anyone really explain it? We eventually may wear a banged up halo and our āwedding garmentā will have some stains.
Yet, to be in love with Godā¦ is why I will head to Dublin.

Go to Dublin, report to us of what the Lord is accomplishing via the EUCHARISTIC CONFERENCE. Donāt worry about Purgatory ā¦ as long as you make full confession EVERYDAY, and lifting up the Cross of Christ to others, Testifying of what He has done for you, and not forsaking that PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP you have with the Lord. And, drinking/eating of the Elixer of Immortality, on weekly basis @ Mass !! B/B/S/D, the REAL PRESENCE, willingly received within you ā¦

I wonder why it is that I have to travel to Dublin (50th International Eucharistic Congress) in order to hear homilies about the Eucharist which is the ultimate form of Godās personal relationship with each human.Good for U ā¦!!!
