And if those days had not been shortened, no human being would be saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. :bible1:
The elect is now the minority
Lets all read the signs of the times….Blessed be God :amen:

I wonder what these radio people would say now, since there is some evidence that the virus did NOT originate in Mexico after all.

Nor has it been found in swine.
They will say nothing. People who desire a wrathful God to dispose of people they don’t like never stop. Nor do the end timers who have been with us since the time of Paul, all claiming that the end times are upon us. One can trace this element for the entire 2000 years of Christendom. They can’t realize unfortunately that we are called to create the kingdom within us, not to have it artificially imposed by a vengeful God.

When mankind deliberatly and intentionally disobeys God it is written that He does become very angry. Whether He Himself sends the punishment or we, by our actions bring the punishments upon our own selves, is a matter of interpretation. He did afterall, destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, sent the rains of the 40 day flood in the time of Noah, and He drowned Pharaoh’s army in the Red Sea. John later wrote, by divine inspiration, the last book of the bible, the Book of Revelation. What we see now is as nothing compared to what will be in those times of the end. Who knows when it will be. Maybe soon, maybe not so soon. Either way, it’s going to happen as it is written. All I know is that in my lifetime I’ve never seen the world in this condition. No one, not one, can predict a thing. But, we can watch the signs which seem to be happening with greater frequency. Even though all these signs such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods, etc. have occurred since time began, there will come a day when it truly will be signs of the end. We must be ready at all times since we do not know when the Master will return. I have to say that right now it’s looking mighty scary to me.

For He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust Matthew 5:45

The Law of Karma is real.
Every action produces a reaction.
Why, is another reason, which you illuminate; suffering indeed turns us to reflect on who we are and why we are here, and where we are going in life. As you imply, the goal of life is union with God.

And no, its not a buddhist teaching, its a *universal *teaching.
Are we not instructed to pick up our crosses and follow? Suffering can definatly be a cross to bear and draw us to Christ.

What do you mean a universal teaching? I have never heard the CC or the LCMS teach on Karma. Things in this world happen because God alows it.
