I will try to make this short.

Lately, hubby and I have been arguing a lot about moving to either Florida or Utah for his work. Wisconsin is also an option. We strongly disagree on where to go. I want Utah, he wants Florida. We have both been praying for God’s will.

My husband and I recently spent some time in Appleton, WI. For his job. It was great. But we wouldn’t want to live there. Too small, not metropolitan enough, very cold, haha.

While we were there, our 3 year old started talking about a boy that he “saw” at our home in Texas named “Company”. He said that Company was bad and was going to do bad things and that we had to stop him, whatever that means. He gave some details, but he is a kid, so may have been inventing all of this. He said that “Company” has no eyes, and has blonde hair…we were aski g questions about this, so he may have been feeding off of that…but he said that Company stayed at our house in Houston and did not come to Wisconsin.

Anyway, when we got home, our bathroom faucet had exploded and destroyed the room, causing $10,000 in damage. I was talking to our son and I can’t remember if I may have prompted him (we have tried not to make a big deal about it), and he said that Company did it. That was several weeks ago. Nothing mentioned about it since.

So the other night, he didn’t want to go to bed and said that he saw Company going upstairs and that he was getting “scarier and scarier”.

He also has sleep “episodes” like my husband. Last night, he woke up crying to go potty. I took him out of bed and put him in the hall and told him to go potty (it was light in the hall/bathroom). I could hear him whining, but figured he was just complaining about being awake at night. Then he stopped. I went out to find him and he had taken off his pants, peed on the floor, and was sitting staring blankly on the top step. I was freaked out, but my hubby has sleep episodes, so I went back to bed.

At around 5 am, we heard a crash. 2 boxes of photos (weighing around 30 lbs each) had fallen from the top shelf of the closet (they had been there for years) and crashed to the floor. The shelf didn’t break. There were several other boxes still sitting there. The shelf is not slanted or loose. The boxes landed several feet across the room and shattered, as if they had been pushed.

I went through the photos (I had never seen them as my mom had given me the boxes to store) and among them I found a picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 5x9. It said that it had been blessed. In Wisconsin.

This happens to be the day before the first Friday of the month. Now, there is a devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus that requires one to take communion on 9 consecutive first Fridays of the month…and all of this happened on Thursday morning befor Friday, March 1st. We are starting the devotion tomorrow 🙂

We have otherwise tried not to encourage this whole “Company” business with our son, but it keeps coming up.

Is this a sign of any sort? We are freaked out and suddenly thinking about a move to Wisconsin (despite our true wishes).

Any advice?

Children are very sensitive and they can see things. I have no doubt that he isn’t imagining anything. What i would do, is to teach him a prayer. You could also say, if you see him, pray Saint Michael to keep you safe, pray Mother Mary etc… You can also tell him to tell you, and you could also pray.

I pray for you and your family. My daughter also use to see thing and with prayers, she no longer she the bad stuff she used to see. Our home feel great too, i could feel the shiver before now it feels peaceful. I also use sacred object such cross, bless water, picture of our lord, Mother Mary and Saints. Anyway, your child isn’t imagining BUT you must help him with this with prayer. You can also talk to your priest.

All the best!

Wow, LaSainte, I’ll keep you in my prayers.

My husband suggested praying Psalm 91. He breathes the prayer into his cupped hands and then he spreads the prayer over himself. You might try doing this to the baby as well, for God’s protection. He wanted me to let you know that. He suggests you do this every morning.

You might also want to have your home blessed.

I don’t know if finding the image of the Sacred Heart means anything regarding your move. It could be coincidental, I don’t know. I would speak to a priest regarding all these events.

I don’t know what this “Company” thing could be. Do you and DH discuss his job relocation and used the term, 'Your company"? He might be nervous and attributes “company” to something scary.

Usually these type of events are easily explained and are not supernatural. So I don’t want to alarm you. Praying and getting your house blessed are good things to do regardless.

Thanks for the responses! Mary Gail, what an awesome prayer! I will definitely use it! I never knew that was the scripture that Satan used to tempt Jesus in the desert until I just read it! Appropriate during Lent!

We always refer to my husband’s company by name, not using the word “company”, but of course, it is very possible that this is a dream that got out of hand. When he first mentioned it, we were staying in Wisconsin and he said that he saw a little boy at the house. When I asked him what he looked like, he said he had blonde hair (like my son). I asked him what color his eyes were and be said “He doesn’t have any eyes.” Creepy. I asked what he was doing and he said he was sitting on top of his toy box trying to put a hole in it and that he was bad and liked to do bad things.

I’m thinking (hoping) that this was a dream because my 3 year old does not make things up like this. He is extremely intelligent and very sensitive and doesn’t really say things that aren’t true.

We have been praying for God’s will and last night I took out a cloth that has touched the stone of unction, the picture of the sacred heart, some soil from the holy land and a crucifix and candle a d blessed them all with some holy water from the shrine of Our Lady of Good Help and arranged them on the mantle. Just in case 🙂 I’ve seen the Exorcist way too many times, haha.

Definitely considering getting the house blessed but I don’t want the priest to think we are a bunch of nut jobs!

Imaginary companions are usually innocuous in three year olds and are more likely to be seen in brighter only children. Theories vary but Company may be a reaction to your family job and moving situation.

We live near Appleton, the area seems small but is safe and has a sophistication and cultural life usually researved for larger metropolitan areas. It also has an excellent Catholic school system.

We really liked Appleton, especially the restaurants. Oh my goodness are they good!
