When something good is happening that you’re a part of, how do you recognize the difference between one’s own will and God’s Will? I’m curious if anyone else ever struggles with discerning the difference of this?

Thanks,
Steve

I think if you are being obedient to God’s commandments, when you experience something good in your life, something that you have been wanting to happen, then it is a case of your will being united with God’s will. That is a happy occassion indeed.

Um, forgive me for asking, but when you are doing right, does it really matter who gets the credit?

Our job is to be obedient to God’s commandments, as the previous post has already indicated. We are also called to do things simply to “Please God”. We need to conform our will to God’s. Then we will be in the right place.

Love, Melanie

Read Listening to God

Pray on it. Do you find yourself at peace or unease about it? Will the act glorify God? Will the act help you become more Holy? Will the act help someone else become more Holy?

Thank you for the heartfelt responses. 🙂

I suspect I’m interested in this because I truly want to do God’s Will. When I find myself responding as I should I am truly happy, and I want to duplicate this as often as possible. In some ways, I feel I have rescinded my will to God, and that my will is no longer at work, rather God’s! 🙂 Does this make sense?

So, how do I more frequently release my will to God? And am I courageous enough to let this happen as often as I should, which I think should be always!?! :hmmm:
