Walsingham is such a special place and unique I think in its ecumenical dimension. Glad you had a lovely experience there; believe me it will remain for a lifetime.
There’s also a prayer you can use when away from Walsingham which places you spiritually there as it were. Let me know if you don’t have it and I’ll find a copy for you.

A few weeks near Bath! 🙂

But we will be able to drive around a lot, so I’d love some Catholic pilgrimage suggestions! 🌷

There’s a beautiful Victorian Catholic church in Bath - St John’s. Well worth checking out.
Hereford isn’t too far away and the church of St Francis Xavier contains the hand of one of the reformation martyrs; on the outskirts of Hereford there’s also Belmont Abbey - a beautiful monastery set in the countryside.

Thank you so much for your suggestions! I have bookmarked your post. 🌷

Not strictly Catholic, but I think you might enjoy a visit to Stratford-on -Avon in Warwickshire. which is Shakespeare’s old stomping ground. There are historic medieval places and buildings associated with ’ the Bard ’ . Also, you could investigate the growing opinion that Shakespeare was a Recusant Catholic.

@Carmel Thank you, we will also look into this!

@AngelusDomini I have now bookmarked those as well! Getting super excited, if you have any more suggestions please let me know.

We have a lot of space and no stress or places we need to be outside of one commitment. 🌷

I love your brief testimony !

Especially “ my life’s far from over “

Good work 😇

And I have bookmarked your post and the page as well! Thank you so much! I feel so blessed, and better prepared. 🌷

Since you will be near Bath this is a link to Prior Park School in Bath . I visited Prior Park in the 1960s and we were able to go into the beautiful school chapel .Prior Park itself is worth a visit .

A link to Walsingham .

A link to Aylesford Priory where I have stayed a couple of times . Well worth a visit .

Wonderful! This is amazing! 🌷

We are creating a little booklet ourselves of places to go, like a roadtrip planner.

Thanks 🙂 I dropped by church on the way to work today and spent half an hour with Jesus in the silence, just me and Him. Prayed a rosary and just listened to Him. He said to my heart, clear as anything, “Be devoted, be trusting, be patient”. So that is very much my calling and I shall spend much more time with Him when I get opportunity henceforth. It was so worth the detour.
