A while back I had heard a teaching on catholic radio where the Father was saying that once someone has come to know the truth and accepts to reject it that he/she would go to hell. If so is this true?
St. John: 68 Then Jesus said to the twelve: Will you also go away? 69 And Simon Peter answered him: Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. Can someone tell me where this is wether the Bible or Catechism?? thanks

The gospels are very clear about the road to condemnation. Those who condemn are the ones who risk condemnation. Those who practice forgiveness are the ones who will be forgiven. If this idea is the “truth” that the priest on the radio was talking about then in a sense it is true. If not then perhaps the priest was distorted, more or less, in his understanding of the path to hell.A while back I had heard a teaching on catholic radio where the Father was saying that once someone has come to know the truth and accepts to reject it that he/she would go to hell. I believe that it is a priest’s job to warn people about Hell and how one would end up there. The gospels are very clear about the road to condemnation. And as Father Corapi said recently, he believes, as do I, that those teaching false doctrine will be judged harshest, even more harsh than rapists and murderers.A lot of people who reject Christianity have never really known the truth in any real sense. Such people will not be judged harshly; and many will be found to have followed Christ in their deeds and hearts as well as they could, despite their ignorance. Rather, it is those who never taught them to know Christ who will be judged.
Are you thinking of any of these passages?;Can someone tell me where this is wether the Bible or Catechism?? thanks
