=distracted;6733339]you seem to have an incomplete idea of what the Church is… because you imply that the Church can possibly make a mistake in Her ex cathedra teachings…
if the Church failed in teaching waht God wants taught, that would mean Jesus failed to protect His Church from the devil… who, as you know… loves to cause division… and loves falsehood…
(St Mt 16:18)
a lot of your posts dont sound orhtodox Catholic…
yet you call yourself catrholic… hmmmm
This is why the Church holds the position She does.
Matt. 16: 19 RE: Peter and Furture Popes “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matt. 18:18 Jesus grants similar powers THROUGH PETER to he rest of the Apostles and successors" Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
Eph. 2:19 So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, [SINGULAR] built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord; SINGULAR] in whom you also are built into it for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”
**Eph. 4: 4 **“There is one body One Church] and one Spirit, One set of beliefs] just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call, 5 one Lord, One Triune God] one faith, One set of doctrine and dogma and Tradition] one baptism, By water in the Trinity] 6 one God and Father of us all, who is above all and through all and in all. 7 But grace was given to each of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift”
And Christ Himself assures the TRUTH of the CC Teachings on Faith and Morals!
John 14: 16-17 And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, to be with you for ever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him; you know him, for he dwells with you, and will be in you.
***John 17: 14-19 **“I have given them thy word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15 I do not pray that thou shouldst take them out of the world, **but that thou shouldst keep them from the evil one. *** 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them in the truth; thy word is truth. 18 As thou didst send me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sake I [Jesus Christ] consecrate myself, that they also may be consecrated in truth."
Not accepting all Teachings puts one soul at GREAT peril.
Love and prayers,
Pat
