Going To Iraq - Please Pray for Me

Hello All

I will be going to Iraq, As a linguist pretty soon.
I gotta admit , I am nervous . but the cool thing is , Am supposed to be working with a big shot Colonel , and if I don’t like it , I can cancel and come back home.
To be honest I enjoy working with our military , although am a civilian .
but am good at what , I do I usually train our guys on how to translate , but here I am doing the real thing !
plus the extra money that , I will make from this can really help me
on my next big move in life (Marriage) and, I can help my struggling parents. I just ask our good Lord to watch over all of us and over all the innocent there.

Hello and thank you for all your support !

To be honest today is the day !
today , I leave him , and start my journey overseas to Iraq !
Saying good bye was so hard for me.
I smiled when my family was around me ,
but when , I was in my room , I was crying like a baby !
man its rough , I don’t know if am doing the right thing , Although my intentions are good , but who am I to say , Only God knows !

I am so nervous , at the same time scared.
I do not know if , I made the correct choice.

The good thing is that , I can quit anytime and come home.

I got a call from a company that I use to work for in California.
They want me to work with them , the offer is $35K to 40K a year.
the one in Iraq is close to 180k a year !

My god am risking my life for money !

I don’t know if the good lord maybe gave me this as an alternative to going to Iraq ,

I have never been so confused before !

I ask god to guide me !
 
Dear God -
Please be mindful of what Chaldean is taking to Iraq. Armed with Thy Holy Word, the Bible, shield this civilian who is voluntarily entering a war-torn country with thoughts of using their salary to aid their own family. We pray You safeguard them, O God, by Thy Divine Grace and Mercy, in the name of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, and through the intercession of Mary Thy most holy Mother. Amen.

My God !

I have a 91 year old grandfather !
I cant say that hes %100 , cause hes been having memory loss in the past 5 years ,

I said to him , Grandfather , I am leaving I don’t know if I’ll see you again , I asked him for blessings and I said pray for me !

Son Where you going ? was his reply , I told him , Ahh I remember was his reply !

He said son , sometimes God , will give a man 2 paths !
1 path has plenty of Money and things that can Lure a man !
but at the same time its a dark , dangerous road that your walking
many people with good intentions walked this road , and lost their lives,

The second path he said , Is a road with brighter light , it has warmth , and seems to be a safer path , but it does not have the many treasuers that the first road had !

I asked well it seem logical that a man would take the second road
Yes he said , I asked how does one go about earning a living ,
he said , When you have faith in god he will give you what you need , cause he takes care of the faithfull !

I have a plane to catch in less then 2 hours and here , I am having second thoughts about it !
