Is there any Church teaching on going to mass at a different parish (not the one I am registered at) on some Sundays? For example, if on a weekend another place or time is more convenient?

Be tranquil. The important thing is to get to Mass. I know that when I’ve been in a bind, I’ve gone to Mass wherever I happent to be. Now, if you don’t go to Mass at all, that’s where the sin lies; but, to go to another parish that may not be yours is certainly not a sin. In fact, you are doing what you can to satisfy your obligation.
My dad and I are registered at different parishes. I have mine and he is at the Cathedral. However, we like to go to Mass as a famliy (I’m an only child) and so I go to Mass with him on Saturday evening and then I go to my parish on Sunday.

When I was living in another city I was very involved with one parish, making the bulletin, reader, etc. During the summer we had no bulletin so I took advantage of the Sundays I wasn’t scheduled to read to visit other churches in the area. There was nothing wrong with that, in fact most of the people who were registered with our parish had to drive past several churches and in some cases through a few different communities, to attend the only Mass in our language. Nothing wrong with deciding to go elsewhere on a particular Sunday.

If you have to be somewhere, like recently my parents were flying to Wyoming for a short trip with my brother and his family, and my sister’s oldest child, and they had to be at the airport on Sunday morning by 9:30 AM, an hour away. The Mass we regularly go to is 8 AM. That wasn’t possible, so we went to Mass on Saturday night at 5:30. That way, our Mass obligation was taken care of, and they didn’t have to worry.

Canon law says you can go anywhere but you do HAVE to go.
Can. 1248 §1. A person who assists at a Mass celebrated anywhere in a Catholic rite either on the feast day itself or in the evening of the preceding day satisfies the obligation of participating in the Mass.
