You keep mentioning that you can’t believe that missing mass is a mortal sin like killing.

Well when you get to heaven ask God why?
After all it was Him who said “Keep Holy the Sabbath”

You think the church made this up!

Gently, I want to suggest that you are using the wrong measuring stick here. The standard is not to be simply a non murderer. The standard is to be holy. The standard is Christ.

If we think we are “good” simply because we are better then a serial killer then I would suggest we are not seeing through the eyes of faith.

Go to Mary and she will show you the way to her Son.

Excellent point. If I take communion tomorrow, will it be another mortal sin?
