It’s a strange time, old age. Being HOH occurs. If you yell to be heard, you’re told, “you don’t need to yell”. Then, he says,”I can’t hear you. SPEAK UP!” His teeth had to be removed and he has,anchor man, white teeth for $8000.00. I didn’t want him to leave his teeth out. Gabby Hayes.Now, I’m 90 # overweight. He’s been very kind to me on that. He just wants me to be healthy. Otherwise I have teeth, ears and eyes. My hair was getting thin But a vitamin pill helped. So, I’m not bald. He’s not bald, hurray.
But romance has changed. I don’t mind. Loving someone is bigger than sex. But, he’s a man and doesn’t want to completely give up. It’s sweet but a penance of sorts. SIGH! So, far we can walk and talk and recognize each other. Memories a little off but not bad.
He is a Catholic who doesn’t go to church. The Scandals did him in.,Me, I’m in choir but we both had twin pneumonia and were in the hospital together for St. Pats day. He’s from Ireland. What a celebration. He almost had to have life support. I was pre septic. I bounced better. He was on Oxygen before and needs it more now. Both a little weaker. Church going for me w/o choir is sort of non-existent. I am in constant pain w osteoarthritis, DDD, DJD, FIBROMYALGIA. Sucks the life out of you. Pain meds work a little but I’m sluggish b/c of health and drugs. Interrupted sleep at night. Getting up is a question mark. So, out of 7 days, 2-I could push to go to mass. But, pushing doesn’t seem worth it. I’ll get back in Choir next year. Pneumonia stopped me this year.
Depressed! Oh Yes! My son is married to a beautiful women. He’s behaved horribly at times.
I’ll spare the long story but on Mother’s Day, he couldn’t maintain and she’ll see a lawyer in AM. She gave him a baby girl when she was 41 yo.
He was, her HS SWEETHEART. Her nightmare now.
My husband and I are opposites. He was raised poor in Ireland. His house had dirt floors. It was like ANGELAS ASHES but better. His Father sent money home from England. He had to catch rabbits for meat in stew. Would you believe a bulls head was cooked for Christmas dinner snd was thought to be a delicacy. GROAN! He does have a chip in his shoulder. Don’t get him mad at you, you’re crossed off his list. So much for forgiveness 70x7.
I help ppl. Of course, my last project did some filing and organizing for me. She brought her son, who was doing yard work. Well,’over 2 episodes w us in the house, they stole, drugs. Then, drugs, a bottle of So.Comfort and a gun. Came back 12/24 and cleaned us out of a rifle,another gun, $1200.00 in cash, a TV- costs $4000.00. They are, finally, caught and we are in jail w an ADT SECURITY SYSTEM. Locked in, we are.
He’s not feeling helpful to the needy now. I can’t stop. Then, I get counseled by himself.
I’m ,probably, over 3200 spaces.
