The idea that the Pope could promulgate invalid sacraments is contrary to the indefectible nature of the Church.

In other words, it is impossible for the Pope to promulgate invalid sacraments.

They use cartoons to caricature the Church, or that part of the Church they disagree with.
My impulse is to tell them if they can’t argue like adults that can find somebody else to argue with.
I fear my answer will not be useful to you, but I have no intention of viewing that clip.

Reputations are pretty much useless against those who think they’re more Catholic than the Church.

The Dimond Brothers are somewhat extreme, as they claim that both the New Mass people and the SSPX people are heretics.

Sedevacantist always, always get their ecclesiology wrong.

Somewhat extreme?

Dude that’s like the Catholic equivalent of hardcore Orthodox Old Calendarists or Russian Old Believers.

Wouldn’t you characterize Old Calendarists and Old Believers as being on the extreme end of the spectrum of Byzantine Orthodoxy?

Hardcore uber-traditionalist Catholics are very similar to hardcore uber-traditionalist Orthodox - they have a tremendous degree of religious fundamentalist mentality which unites them.

Who is that on your pfp, can’t really see it that well

If this post took you two minutes to make, you’ve already spent ten minutes too long on this idiocy.

These two authors of this travesty of a film clip, are just what they offered early on, clowns.
One. They cite a pope’s statement in the 1500’s. Is that pope saying that all masses prior to his pronouncement were sacrilegious because they didn’t conform to his idea of propriety?
Two, the mass is a representation of the sacrifice offered by Christ at the Last Supper and the subsequent happenings of his Passion and Death. I don’t think Christ intoned his blessings in Latin with everyone kneeling in adoration. The Last Supper was a seder meal in which Christ invoked the new covenant. MOST LIKELY IN ANCIENT ARAMAIC! - or possible/probably HEBREW!

Most of the film clips are taken well out of context. The church has always tried to accommodate local means of expression. It is a universal church. Besides, these two dimwits believe that the Church will be spread throughout the world by speaking a dead language to people who barely understand the local dialect.

I didn’t get much farther than the first minute and a half. I was so disgusted with these two half wits that I had to hit cancel. You can bet these two are a pair of “clerics” who consider themselves far superior to the Magisterium, not to mention the laity. The word humble is nowhere to be found in their lexicon, they are the self righteous that Christ warned us about. In fact, sooner or later, their hubris will be taken up by a local bishop or maybe even the Vatican.

The mass as we know it, the Norvus Ordo is the mass approved by the Vatican and the bishops around the world. In many places, the Latin Rite is offered and hopefully these two stooges will disappear in one and not be heard from again. Refutation, they are bordering on apostasy and I imagine will be brought to heel by the local bishop.

I stopped watching when I saw the name of MHFM.

Sede cult propaganda is best ignored.

Maybe the are being used to show what is wrong with the back to Latin movement? Of course, Martin Luther was around for a good long time too. Then again, so have been cockroaches.
You aren’t seriously comparing those who want the return of Latin to the liturgy to Martin Luther Luther cockroaches, are you?
