I want a good Bible app on my Android phone. I enjoy RSV and Douray Rheims versions as well as the Protestant English Standard Version of the Bible.
The NRSV, the NIV, NASB, NLT, and the CPDV sound like dubious translations. They’re either an inaccurate translation or have a liberal slant of the liturgy and is thus inaccurate. I don’t know whether the NAB or NAB-RE is more authentic and which one may be at mass.
Also, how do I know if a Douray Rheims of an app matches the Douray Rheims Bible or is a counterfeit version that is not identical. Should I check out multiple apps to make sure? How do I know which passages to review to check for the text not being virtually verbatim to the version.
Is the EWTN app a good Bible source. I think it has highlighting features which is helpful when you’re reading an E-Book as opposed to a physical hard copy book.
Thanks again.
