good confession

I have been away from the church for 40 years. please pray for a good confession from myself.

I thank God for giving you the graces to return after all these years,

My prayers. Take your time to examine your conscience, confess all the mortal sins (those you knew were grave sins at the time you did them) that you can remember, and remember that ALL your sins, even the ones you forget to mention, are absolved.

If any forgotten mortal sin from your past does pop into your mind in future, just mention it in confession afterwards.
