There are no second chances in Purgatory.
You are creating your own doctrines and dogmas. Please be in the ark of the church. We have a 2000 year old tradition for a reason.
I don’t think that he was claiming that Purgatory is a second chance, nor is he inventing a doctrine.

I would imagine that almost everybody gets Purgatory, the sainthood types and world-class inveterate sinners both being somewhat rare human types. And in Purgatory, everybody will know the truth. So even someone who did not die Catholic will be in the Church triumphant after Purgatory.

From an outside observer’s perspective, many of the saints of yore whom you cite seem to be ignoring the unfathomable mercy of G-d even for the faithless, as well as the Christian belief in invincible ignorance, or was the latter precept a belief that was instituted by the Church later on?
No

They dogmatically hold the truth given us as described above. And they passionately make converts.

Jesus never once made mention of invincible ignorance nor of any salvation apart from him.

It is a pure speculation based on what we know of God to think there might be other ways. It is out solemn duty to spread the life saving truth of the Christian faith.

I have no doubt though, that those who never heard of God’s law or now the Church, can be possibly saved by another mechanism. That is up to God. It is our duty to uphold and spread the teachings of Christ.

God Bless you…👍👍👍

God will make all those who were just in this life a Catholic in Purgatory.
That is the perfect way to empty churches. Out the door they go. All we need to do is lead respectable lives with WORKS of the second greatest commandment without FAITH and with only the belief that God will impute the first commandment into the “just” after they die?

Jesus went and preached to the souls in prison, they heard the gospel and the ones who accepted it were lead free.

I think God requires a certain amount of the first commandment. How that gets defined is up to God but without it we are lost souls.
