Is there a substitute for the Glory Be on Good Friday?
And you can use this on Holy Saturday:Christ became obedient for us unto death.
Even unto death on the Cross.
Christ became obedient for us unto death, even unto death on the Cross.
For which God hath exalted Him and hath given Him a name which is above all names.
Since the rosary is a private devotion and not an official liturgy of the Church, there may or may not be a custom in an area which would omit it, or substitute something for it. But other than an unofficial custom in a local area, no.Is there a substitute for the Glory Be on Good Friday?
You miss the point. This isn’t about the Glorious Mysteries. The question was if the “Gloria Patri” should be said as usual after the ten “Hail Marys”…On Good Friday, we say the Sorrow Mysteries, and meditate on the Suffering and Death of Jesus, we say no Glories Mysteries.
Thank you for helping understand, now I know what was meant. You miss the point. This isn’t about the Glorious Mysteries. The question was if the “Gloria Patri” should be said as usual after the ten “Hail Marys”…

Exactly, because it’s devotional, not liturgical.*
