Good Friday Temptation

To me the Triduum is more penitential than Lent itself. I’d stay away from the Diet Coke until after the Easter Vigil (or Easter Mass if I didn’t go to the Vigil). Then it’s time to celebrate!

Well, I WILL be making a late-nite stop at the store tonight after Mass. I am dying for some dc!!! Besides, I need something good to wash down all the candy I will be eating while making Easter baskets tonight!

Call me what one will, but while I think our own private offerings may take a step back to appreciating the host’s hospitality, this doesn’t extend to meat on a fast day. Especially not on Good Friday. People’s feelings won’t be so gravely offended if we thank them for their hospitality but politely decline just the meat.
