I’m curious - at your service today, this Good Friday, what vestments did the priests wear?

Black, red, or white? I’ve seen all three - but I prefer black.

Red. It was a very dark maroon/burgundy kind of red.

I’m trying to remember what the deacon wore. I think it was a white alb, with a white stole with some red and gold on it? Not 100% positive.

Red is prescribed by the GIRM; there’s no mention of other options.

Red. I’ve never heard of a priest vesting in white on Good Friday.

Red. The only time I’ve seen otherwise was in an episcopal church where she wore only a cassock… no alb, stole, or chassuble

Red. Red is used for all Feasts for those who shed blood for the Faith.

Red is specified in the Ordo as well.

The Bishop Wore Red,it’s a red day.

Many of the congregation wore black and red

If you go to EF/Byzantine/ Eastern Orthodox, there may be others

My priest didn’t wear any vestments at all, just an alb with a red stole (it might have been red. I’m not sure, I was tired)

At my parish there was no color coordination among the congregation. I wore all black

Coincidentally I wore a black button up also. I would’ve wore red, but I really dont have apparel thats red at all lol.

Before I got to mass I took a look Arvin myself in the mirror and realized I looked emo, or going to a funeral (Good Friday services kinda are though so), because of my black shoes, black dress, black coat, dark hair…not a single speck of color
