I have missed the Services of the Passion.
As a Candidate is this a grave matter?

It helps to remember that Holy Days of Obligation require us to attend Mass and there is no Mass on Good Friday. Here I thought growing up that it was a Holy Day of Obligation. Imgaine my surprise when I saw here on the CAF forums yesterday that Good Friday is indeed not a Holy Day of Obligation.
Thanks. Probably why I thought it was a Holy Day of Obligation is that as a kid growing up, my Mom said YOU WILL go to Good Friday service, period end of discussion. It helps to remember that Holy Days of Obligation require us to attend Mass and there is no Mass on Good Friday.
As others have mentioned, this is not an obligatory liturgy. But if you do wish to attend --and you live somewhere in the Western Hemisphere-- there might be a neighboring parish that has an evening Passion Liturgy.I have missed the Services of the Passion.
