I’ve been hearing about the Exodus 90 and other such challenges, but I was wondering if you all had recommendations for such a program for Lent (and include women? 😅). Which ones have you all done or will do?

Our parish does annual small groups meeting in homes to do some great reading and have scholarly spiritual discussion.

Nineveh 90 was inspired by Exodus 90 and includes both men and women.

"Nineveh 90 – the 90 days from January 1 to March 31 – is inspired by the excellent program – Exodus 90 – designed exclusively for men by Fr. Brian Doerr and others. Men may want to choose the even more demanding Exodus 90 […], and use it for our 90-day journey.

For our Nineveh 90 journey, which includes both men and women, we are embracing the great values of mortification, a support system, and the research in the behavioral sciences that says 90 days is about the time needed to change bad habits. We will also be using some of the tried and true supernatural elements. Namely, the Brown Scapular, 54 Day Rosary Novena, and the 33 Day Preparation for Marian Consecration."

Although it’s already begun for this year, maybe you could adapt it for a later start…?

My current life circumstances prevent me from attempting anything this rigorous, but perhaps in the future - I’m considering a major change this year which should free up the necessary time and energy. Blessings to you if you decide to do this or something similarly demanding!

My challenge is to go to Mass everyday for 40 days. And also to say the Rosary everyday.

May daily Mass change your life as it changed mine. 🙂

Hehehe it has. I already go to Daily Mass but I skip sometimes. So tryna get a perfect 40/40.

I go in the evenings. It’s so peaceful. There’s Rosary with Adoration, with the Loretto Litany and Benediction. We also say a Novena prayer in the end. There’s a different Novena for each day. The Litany sometimes changes according to the Novena being said. I love it!

That’s what I meant: daily daily Mass. I used to attend Mass every single day without fail. Current circumstances prevent me from doing that. Though I only miss Mass once or twice in a 21-day period, it’s just not the same. Not for me. YMMV.

You can try! It’s okay if you just attend one day extra. It’ll slowly become a habit 😃

I used to go in the week, but now my work time is very unpleasant cant attend adoration, cant attend even lections after Mass but need to work who is going to buy me food…😦

The Luna does not have to be out to do Adoraiton. Just kneel before the tabernacle.
