Good Online Bible Studies?

I got myself into a weird situation this time. Haha.

So, my Christian neighbor is not attending any church at this time. I was talking to her the other day and I outright asked her: Are you happy being separated from your spiritual brothers and sisters? And she admitted she isn’t. She’s not ready to attend any churches though. She fears that her intellect will be crushed by the crowd, so to speak.

She longs for fellowship though and she is aware the Bible instructs us to be in fellowship with our brothers and sisters…

Of course I volunteered to meet with her Sunday afternoons for some good old Christian Bible Study and fellowship time. I’m crazy.

The problem is I don’t want to bring her strictly Catholic focused material. I do want to help her grow in HER faith and if that leads her to Rome so be it! I promised her I am NOT trying to evangelize her (because I’m not!), I just want to help her grow closer to God.

Anyone have some recommendations for some good online bible studies that I can start her off with? Something she and I would both enjoy looking over? Something that a Protestant wouldn’t be offended by?

Don’t apologize for being Catholic or for believing what you believe.
I suggest you present the faith in small doses, and allow your friend to respond the way she wants to. You’re not responsible for how she reacts.

I’m no apologizing for being Catholic by any means but she is very sensitive and I don’t want to seem as if I’m pushing MY faith on her. We are friends AND neighbors and I would like to approach this from the aspect of just studying the Bible without Catholic doctrine being pushed at her (I know! That’s difficult. The Bible IS Catholic after all! Haha).

Try E-Sword. You can use multiple versions of the Bible. It is primarily a Protestant program but you can get Catholic bibles, concordances, etc in addition to Protestant Bibles with the Apocrypha. Search on E-sword.

You’re right. There is nothing wrong with it. But I believe it’s dishonest to try and evangelize someone who doesn’t want to be evangelized. In that case it’s better to switch to be a good example and ignore the hardcore Catholic push.
