Good parish or church in Fort Worth, Texas?

I’m in college and while here have multiple options for Daily & Sunday Mass with no nonsense–no EMHCs; chant or traditional music; good homilies; people dress neatly. (And churches with right angles.) My parents live in the Ft. Worth diocese though, and I don’t know a church there that has these standards–Not that I have tried a lot of churches. So I was wondering if any of you know a really good one. (My father also has a vague discontent with our parish there, but doesn’t know where to go.) Actually, it’s OK if it’s not a parish–like if there are religious that have a fine Mass–I don’t really know the religious in Fort Worth either.

You would probably like the Anglican use parish, which isn’t too close to Ft Worth (Arlington?), but is worth checking out at least once.
 
Immaculate Conception Parish in Denton is beautiful. The architecture is more modern but still retains a classic feel and the priests there are wonderful. I go to the LifeTeen Mass at 5PM on Sunday nights. It may be a long drive for you, depending on what part of “Fort Worth” you are in. If you would like, I could talk with some of our youth ministers and our priest tonight about good churches in the diocese.

Fort Worth is pretty large, could you give a little more detail on where exactly in Ft. Worth you are looking? While Denton and Lewisiville are in the Ft. Worth Diocese you are looking at quite a hall if you live in south Ft. Worth. There is a Cistercian Abby almost directly across from Texas Stadium on Cistercian road…I know it’s not Ft. Worth but it might be closer for you than Denton or Lewisville. In Lewisville there is a great Maronite parish called Our Lady of Lebanon. They have an English language Mass on Sundays but still speak the words of consecration in either Syraic or Aramaic. Let us know more detail and we’ll see if we can’t find you a nice parish.

I have yet to see a Life Teen Mass that meets the OPs requirements…is the one at Immaculate Conception different from other LT Masses?
 
I believe that every Mass at ICC uses EMHCs due to the large numbers in attendance. I have not been to the 8am masses there so I would have no idea about the music but I believe it is more traditional than the LifeTeen/Bilingual mass that I attend. I was suggesting that they attend that mass, just stating that it is the mass that I, personally, know more about.

ICC is FAR from a traditional, conservative Catholic Church, sorry.
 
None taken. I can only speak for what I know and trying to help a fellow Texan find a church home.
 
There was some discussion on this board a while back about a parish in Arlington where the priest banned female altar servers and some other stuff. Sounds like what you are looking for. You might do a search on the threads for “Arlington” and “Texas” if you don’t mind the drive. On Sunday mornings it probably is not that bad for traffic.
