Wondering if anyone has links to high quality video or audio spoken recordings of the Latin prayers- the Apostle’s and Nicene Creed, the Gloria, etc? There is a lot of stuff on YouTube, well meaning to be sure but much of it either sung with poor quality audio or spoken with weird New Age music backing the recitations, in one case a guy reciting the Credo in Classical (not Ecclesiastical) Latin, etc. etc.
Any links are appreciated!

I agree. It’s incredible how much terrible Gregorian chant there is on Youtube. I mean how can they possibly get it so wrong? It’s like a conspiracy to keep Gregorian chant from making a comeback. My local Latin Mass has beautiful Gregorian chant.

To be fair though, I think the quality of recording has a lot to do with it, and unless the singers are really excellent, they always seem to sound worse on a recording than in real life. Well that’s my theory.

In answer to your question. I learned the pronunciation for Ecclesiastical Latin from this site which teaches the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

One thing I like about this recording is that he does not rush. This is a common mistake when reading our prayers. It is important to slow down and contemplate the words. If reading Latin it means pausing to verify the English meaning. Otherwise it is a pointless jumble of words. With diligence in this practice we will start to pick up some basic phrases in Latin which we read in our missals.
