Good Reads?

Can anybody recommend a good book to read on the historical person of Jesus Christ, preferably something by a Catholic author, but in any event by a serious academic writer (no “Jesus was an alien” books, please)

The collection of Scott Hahn’s books are great the last I’ve red is “Hail Holy Queen”

good historical background would be Titus Flavius Josephus, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josephus

He wrote history around the time of Christ and provides an excellent source of what was happening at the time.
