There are many Indian Catholic priests. Perhaps one would have an especially good perspective to share regarding the Hindu idols from the Catholic standpoint.
My other suggestion would be to focus on God’s mercy and love. There is much to read about that, including The Divine Mercy.

@Buks May I ask why Indian Catholic priests ? Is it because they’re more knowledgeable on Hinduism ?

Posting late but just wanted to thank you. I’ve been watching their daily masses (EWTN) and it gives me such peace!!!
Also, the bad dreams do not bother me anymore but mostly, I’ve gotten rid of them ( though, once in a while, I experience this near real “encounter” or what it’s called, not sure for example, not long ago , some human “claws” were digging deep into my skin. I felt the pain, it was so real and then I prayed “Jesus, have mercy” until it disappeared - usually within less than a minute).
Anyway, thank you all for your contribution. They mean so much to me.
