Good source of matillas?

Is there a good shop that carries matillas in the Los Angeles area?

I can’t help you with a shop in L.A. that sells them, but Modesty Veils online has some pretty styles. I like their selection because they offer a small semi-circle size that’s not too big or too small.

There are beautiful ones, both old and new, on eBay. Do a search for “mantilla” or “chapel veil.” If you know how to do advanced search, take out the terms that will give you wedding veils, dolls, baseball cards and china (wedding, bride, bridal, comb, costume, Ray, Felix, Josefina, Josephina, doll, china, place setting, cup, saucer, plate). It’s OK not to refine your search like this, but you will have to wade through a lot of stuff you don’t want. Happy shopping!

I did buy a couple of mantillas several years ago at Calle Olvera for my Mom and MIL at one on the shops. Very pretty, a little pricey, but they were Mother’s Day gifts, so I splurged.
