now that I am confused…when is it taught (if it is taught) when Jesus died?

Actually we do not know the actual year of the birth of Jesus or the actual year of the death of Jesus. We don’t know how old he was.

The article from your first link supports the traditional understanding of the Last Supper having taken place on a Thursday and the Crucifixion on a Friday.

Your second link has a letter to the editor disagreeing with article, followed by a reply from the original author wherein he answers the letter-writer’s objections.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church refers to “Good Friday”, which supports the traditional Passion Week chronology. The older Roman Catechism states that “our Lord celebrated the Pasch on Thursday evening”, again supporting the traditional chronology.

Finally, I have saved three articles here that discuss different approaches to harmonizing the Gospel accounts of our Lord’s suffering, death and resurrection. I think a better case can be made for “Good Friday” than for “Good Thursday”, but as far as I know, the Church has not spoken dogmatically on the subject.

…I think I am reading these articles wrong and getting confused…any help?
