I just wanted to say bye. I usually post here but, I guess not many people on the forums like me. I don’t think I will be posting on here anymore or at least not for a while. I might go to FishEaters (we’ll see). But, please pray for my discernment as I will be praying for you. Ave Maria. Pax Christi.

What makes you think not many here like you? I have enjoyed your posts (the parts not edited out).

Please don’t go, only better understand the rules, and continue to contribute.

Apparently many people are reporting a lot of my posts to Thomas Casey.

…I don’t think that I’ve ever really seen much of anything you post…but there’s no reason to leave  Who cares if people don’t like you? People probably don’t like me either. We don’t follow the crowd.

That’s typical in this place especially for anyone who sounds “mean” or loves the EF. You can’t start a thread on here about how much yu love the EF without having some of the more sensitive crowd showing up and demanondijg us to say that the OF and eastern litrugies are equal and the norm. Yeah we know that! The whole point for the traditional section was for those who enjoyed traditional practices to come together and chat but insteads it’s been hijacked by sensitive folks who basically act as the forum police and act as if they know more than others. It’s really sad. Keep your head up don’t let this site eat you up as it almost did me. Belove it or not this forum can be a poison to your faith if you let it.

Matt you don’t need to leave. Many of us at some time find that people don’t like what we said. Other times they think what we said was right. So long as we obey the rules and are charitable, we all have the right to be here as members.
You are most welcome to stay and keep posting.

I hear you. This forum is … tricky in more ways than one. Between certain posts getting slammed shut by moderators immediately… some with no clear meaning as to why (just try to post a question about a chapel veil!) and snarkiness disguised as charity, well, I hear you.

There are good people here though, but this board does take somewhat of a thick skin and perseverance.

I don’t know you- don’t know if we’ve ever been on the same topics- but I will say there are many extreme ideas and understandings on this site -as in the world-… that can be overwhelming to some and completely foreign to others-many who have been Catholic their whole lives…understand that all are put in front of you by God for a reason-to find your way to Him-to define who you are-to strengthen your faith… for some it will be a straight and easy walk- they are strong in what they know to be true and feel it resonate in their soul-nothing can complicate that kind of personal faith-it has moved beyond simply doctrine to a very personal relationship with God- and the Holy Spirit writes on the heart…-but there are others that are fearful of anything not written in stone and go about trying to create everyone in “their image”…those are the ones that need “balance”… they have lost sight of God working on the individual throughout the process and believe that all need to be as they are - or those differences in perception need to be corrected-or they need to go…
they believe they are doing God’s work-but have forgotten that even in creating us all in His image-he gave us our own attributes, gifts, and free will to think and share- … I don’t know which group you belong to-or if you are somewhere in the vast middle area… but-when you find yourself in conflict- go back to your common ground-the Love of Jesus Christ that surrounds each of you… and start over:signofcross:

I’ve noticed and appreciated many of your posts. God bless you wherever you may go.

If you can’t handle negativity, challenges to your opinions, or pushback from others on this forum, how will you handle these things in the world?

Something to think about.

Good question. Nearly every one of my posts are ignored but so what? This one probably will be, too LOL.

Are you saying that Eastern liturgy is NOT traditional?

Just look at the Latin Rosary thread, a really harmless question, and some show up just to show their disapproval. LOL, I mean, what ?!

Anyway, Holyfamily1, godspeed, and do check out the other forum, you can speak your mind a little more over there.

Are you saying that Eastern liturgy is NOT traditional?
This id the exact thing I am talking about. Did I ever say that? Eastern practices have their own section! Just to let you know I happen to attend a Ukrainian catholic liturgy once a month.

Strident or extremely opinionated posts regularly coming from someone who self-identifies as very young and/or a recent convert and thus with little personal experience are sometimes suspected as coming from a troll. Perhaps there is some element of that here.

May you be blessed along your journey and may Mary keep you free from error. I have seen with my own eyes that there is a certain cross-section of people on this forum who are antagonistic toward those who are sympathetic to Tradition. (Sometimes the PM’s fly with fury!) I, myself, am in a period of discernment right now and it isn’t easy times to be a good Catholic. Tensions do exist in the Church today (however did we get this way?) and I believe some of it is related to political preferences. But one must have a certain confidence to post on an open forum. And be tuff…oftentimes what we write is misunderstood, but we continue to make our point charitably and firmly. I have also found that debate can further clarify the convictions already in my heart but not verbalized. Know that you are not alone in the battle.

Blessings!!

:hug3: Please do not leave, I like you, I always enjoy your posts, thank you! 🙂

Please do not pay attention to the people that dislike tradition, the EF, or those who downgrade a thread just because it is about the TLM. Just pray for them. Do not let them run you off. Hang in there. Please stay. God bless.

:highprayer::signofcross: Pax Christi
